59814 (2024). Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Health: What is the total sum, if any, of redundancy payments made to staff at ministries, departments and agencies, if any, for which the Minister is responsible during the period 27 November 2023 - 17 September 2024, by month and agency?

Hon Dr Shane Reti: I am advised that for the period 27 November 2023 to 17 September 2024, the total sum of redundancy payments at the Ministry of Health was $3,686,692.96. This is inclusive of redundancy and in lieu payments. The table attached sets out payments by month for the period requested. I am advised this information is not yet available for Health New Zealand until its Annual Review is finalised.
