59785 (2024). Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister for Energy: What is the total sum, if any, of projected future spend on redundancy payments to staff at ministries, departments and agencies, if any, for which the Minister is responsible as at 17 September 2024, by month and agency?

Hon Simeon Brown: As Minister for Energy, I have no responsibility for any government departments or Ministries. In respect of the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment, I refer the Member to the Minister for Economic Development’s answer to WPQ 59778 (2024). Regarding Crown entities under the energy portfolio, I am advised that EECA is not budgeting for any additional redundancy, severance or other termination payments. I am advised this is also the case for the EA.
