Hon Erica Stanford: I am advised by the Ministry of Education that the sum of total redundancy payments made between 27 November 2023 and 17 September 2024 is $6,287,905.64. I refer the Member to the attached table showing payments made between 27 November 2023 and 17 September 2024 by month are in the attached table. Note that redundancy payment amounts for some months are not provided to protect the privacy of individuals. I am advised by the Education Review Office that this information is withheld, as releasing it may lead to the identification of individual information due to the low number of staff involved. I am advised by the New Zealand Qualifications Authority that the total sum of redundancy payments, made to staff between 27 November 2023 and 17 September 2024 is $738,843.
