59717 (2024). Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister for Tertiary Education and Skills: What is the total sum, if any, of projected future spend on redundancy payments to staff at ministries, departments and agencies, if any, for which the Minister is responsible as at 17 September 2024, by month and agency?

Hon Penny Simmonds: I am advised by the Tertiary Education Commission (TEC) that it is projecting a further $117,119.42 of redundancy payments to staff as at 17 September 2024. In relation to the Ministry of Education, I refer the Member to the Minister of Education’s response to written parliamentary question 59780 (2024). I am advised that the Education New Zealand has no projected future spend on redundancy payments.
