59690 (2024). Chlöe Swarbrick to the Minister of Education: In Budget 2024, how much funding was been allocated to meeting the needs of gifted education Māori medium learners, if any, and what are the key performance measures and outcomes for this funding?

Hon Erica Stanford: Funding for Gifted Education was not sought through Budget 2024. However, since 2023, the Ministry has worked with key subject matter experts to develop a model of giftedness for ākonga Māori known as Te Iho Pūmanawa. $0.39 m is allocated to Te Iho Pūmanawa per annum.
