59685 (2024). Ricardo Menéndez March to the Minister for Social Development and Employment: What is the average cost, if any, of an individual participating in He Poutama Rangatahi?

Hon Louise Upston: I am advised by the Ministry of Social Development that as at the end of August 2024, there are 75 active He Poutama Rangatahi (HPR) programmes contracted to target 7,756 participants, with an average cost of $12,469 per participant. The number of clients recorded as participating in HPR is subject to change over time and therefore the average should be seen as indicative only.
