59663 (2024). Ingrid Leary to the Associate Minister of Health: Does the Minister agree with Aged Care Association chief executive Tracey Martin that there are 200 small rural care providers who are on a knife edge, due to the current funding and regulatory settings; if so, what, if anything, will she do to address this?
Hon Casey Costello: I am advised that there is no evidence to suggest this is the case. However, I have previously encouraged Ms Martin to raise her concerns related to any struggling provider directly with Health NZ, who have offered to work with individual providers to better understand their business models and viability.
