59263 (2025). Shanan Halbert to the Minister for Vocational Education: What amount of Section 556 grant funding did each polytechnic apply for compared to the amount that was allocated to them?

Hon Penny Simmonds: Polytechnics did not apply for Section 556 funding. The Minister for Vocational Education and Training determined Section 556 grant funding amounts for polytechnics. In addition, some polytechnics also received funding from the Transitional Support for Strategically Important Provision fund which was allocated to them by the Tertiary Education Commission (TEC). The amounts for both are published on TEC's website here.
