Hon Penny Simmonds: I received the following advice on the role of Industry Skill Boards in the NCEA replacement programme: • 7 March 2025 – Report: Strengthening NCEA - a subject-based approach • 2 April 2025 – Report: Scoping the report back on the implications of VET redesign for learners • 4 June 2025 – Report: Strengthening NCEA - further advice on attainment requirements • 17 June 2025 – Report: Final Cabinet paper- Proposed establishment of ITPs • 30 September 2025 – Report: Replacing NCEA - approach to VET and Careers Budget 2026 initiatives • 6 November 2025 – Report: Replacing NCEA - direction on scale of VET initiatives.
