Hon Chris Penk: The 11 trusted standards organisations are listed in the attached Appendix. Building consent authorities (BCAs) may have regard to recognised standards as evidence of compliance with the Building Code. BCAs will still need to assess proposed building work to ensure products are being used for their stated purpose and that the building work will comply with the Building Code.
