59079 (2025). Arena Williams to the Acting Minister of Commerce and Consumer Affairs (Grocery Sector): How many retailers, if any, are not displaying unit prices online as of 31 August 2025?

Hon Nicola Willis: I am advised that in an initial sweep of businesses undertaken between July and September 2025, the Commission identified 7 businesses who sell products in all ten specified categories of the Consumer Information Standards (Unit Pricing for Grocery Products) Regulations 2023 online as not complying with their obligations. I am also advised the Commission issued Information Passed to Trader letters to each of these businesses to assist with compliance. I am further advised that the commission is currently aware of 3 businesses who are not yet compliant and will be engaging directly with these businesses to assist them in achieving compliance and where necessary consider the use of enforcement tools.
