59078 (2025). Arena Williams to the Acting Minister of Commerce and Consumer Affairs (Grocery Sector): How many supermarkets, if any, that have a floor space of more than 1,000m2 are not displaying unit prices on the shelves since August 2024?
Hon Nicola Willis: I am advised that between 31 August 2024 and 1 December 2025, 16 businesses with over 1,000 m² of floor space that sell products in all ten specified categories of the Consumer Information Standards (Unit Pricing for Grocery Products) Regulations 2023 were identified by the Commerce Commission as not complying with their obligations. I am also advised that the Commission is not aware of any businesses currently in breach of these obligations. I am further advised that since August 2024 the Commission has issued 15 Information Passed to Trader letters and 1 Compliance Advice Letter which contributed to these businesses becoming compliant.
