58987 (2025). Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Health: How many graduate registered nurses were matched to a role with Te Whatu Ora in the most recent Advanced Choice of Employment round, if any?

Hon Simeon Brown: As the Member will be aware, the most recent Advanced Choice of Employment round is the End of Year 2025 intake, which remains under active consideration. It would not be in the public interest to preempt the number of graduate registered nurses that will be matched to a role with Health New Zealand. However, as the Member will be aware, Health New Zealand is on track to hire 1,800 graduate nurses in the current financial year.
