58974 (2025). Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Health: How many graduate registered nurses have been offered roles in the most recent two Advanced Choice of Employment rounds that are fixed-term or known to reduce in FTE within the first 12 months of employment, if any?

Hon Simeon Brown: I am advised that Health New Zealand employs graduate Registered Nurses into permanent roles. All employment processes and information are managed by each district. I am further advised that providing this information, as requested by the Member, would require Health New Zealand to undertake a significant manual collation exercise, diverting staff from essential services that deliver access to timely healthcare. I do not consider that answering this question is justified in the public interest.
