58967 (2025). Hon Phil Twyford to the Minister of Immigration: How many bus drivers came under the Transport Sector Agreement?

Hon Erica Stanford: I am advised that 992 people were granted temporary work visas to work as bus drivers between the previous Cabinet agreeing in principle to a Transport Sector Agreement for drivers working for an approved public transport authority and entry to the residence pathway being closed (19 December 2022 to 6 April 2024). This number may include bus drivers who were not working for an approved public transport authority.
