58966 (2025). Hon Willow-Jean Prime to the Minister for Children: How will participants in the second military-style academy be recruited?

Hon Karen Chhour: I am advised that the selection of participants for the second Military-Style Academy programme is based on the eligibility criteria in the Oranga Tamariki (Responding to Serious Youth Offending) Amendment Bill. Factors being considered include their age, histories of serious and repeat offending, prior supervision with activity orders and/or supervision with residence orders.
