58965 (2025). Hon Willow-Jean Prime to the Minister for Children: How many meetings, if any, has Oranga Tamariki had with mana whenua in relation to the second military-style academy planned for March 2026, listed by date?

Hon Karen Chhour: I am advised that Oranga Tamariki has recorded ten meetings to date with mana whenua, in relation to planning future Military-Style Academy programmes. • 15 May 2025 • 3 June 2025 • 16 June 2025 • 18 June 2025 • 10 July 2025 • 17 July 2025 • 29 July 2025 • 25 August 2025 • 5 September 2025 • 17 November 2025 I am further advised that in addition to the above, there are regular conversations taking place, including informal meetings or calls which are not centrally recorded and therefore cannot be provided in a list format. Note that while the intention is to begin a second Military-Style Academy programme in March 2026, the start date has not yet been finalised.
