58945 (2025). Arena Williams to the Minister of Commerce and Consumer Affairs: What is the update, if any, on the Government's changes to the Commerce Commission’s governance structure, including timing of the proposed changes?

Hon Scott Simpson: The Cabinet decisions and papers have been released on the MBIE website. A bill to give effect to the Cabinet decisions is intended to be introduced in the first quarter of 2026, with the proposed revised Commission structure intended to come into effect in mid-2027.
