Hon Nicola Grigg: On 8 November 2024 a staff member in my office advised me that the costs of Australia's mandatory pay gap reporting system were about $10 billion. This is the figure I used during the question-and-answer session at an event on the gender pay gap on 20 November 2025. Following this event, the Ministry for Women called my office to advise me that while costs were likely substantial, this figure was not accurate.
