58888 (2024). Rt Hon Chris Hipkins to the Prime Minister: What aides-mémoire, briefings, memos, notes, reports, or any other advice, if any, has the Minister or their Office received during the week beginning 9 September 2024, listed by agency, title and date received?
Rt Hon Christopher Luxon: As Prime Minister, I regularly request and receive advice from officials on a range of matters.
For the Prime Minister portfolio, I received one document on 12 September 2024. Also, jointly in my capacity as the Minister for National Security and Intelligence I received one document on 13 September 2024. It is not in the public interest to release the titles of these documents.
Jointly with the Minister for Emergency Management and Recovery, I received the following document:
• North Island Weather Events: Progress Update on Categorisation, Buyouts, and Sediment Removal, 12 September 2024.
I have received briefings from the Policy Advisory Group, a business unit of DPMC, during the requested timeframe, however, I am not releasing the titles of these briefings.
In addition, staff in my office may informally receive documents, including draft documents, from my officials in DPMC and from other agencies, and from Ministers’ offices. This information is not held in a format that can be easily extracted within the time frame.
