58727 (2025). Hon Phil Twyford to the Minister of Immigration: What is Immigration New Zealand’s current system capacity to process increases in NZeTA volumes without delays or additional manual workload?
Hon Erica Stanford: The NZeTA platform runs on a scalable architecture that automatically adds resources as needed and has been stress tested to handle loads up to three times the average. It is designed to support a 12% annual increase in temporary application volumes.
The identity resolution service processes up to 10 requests per minute to protect IGMS performance. Over the course of the year, with around 1.5 million requests processed, the average throughput is less than three requests per minute.
