Hon Carmel Sepuloni to the Associate Minister of Education: On what date, if any, did Charter School Agency officials first become aware that as part of their application to convert Kelston Boys High School to a charter school, the Bangerz Education and Wellbeing Trust had discussed setting up an “in-school jail”?

Hon David Seymour: This information was in a consultation document produced and published by Bangerz Education and Wellbeing Trust, dated 4 November 2025. It references discussions with past students of Kelston boys. It was not part of the expression of interest or application presented to the Authorisation Board from Bangerz.
