58676 (2025). Hon Carmel Sepuloni to the Minister of Police: Is the Bangerz Education and Wellbeing Trust consultation report of their now withdrawn application to convert Kelston Boys High School to a charter school correct that, a Police Inspector based in Auckland visited the Trust’s “hub” in New Lynn, if so, on what date, and in what capacity, did this visit take place?

Hon Mark Mitchell: I am advised that two senior Police Officers visited the Trust’s hub in New Lynn in a personal capacity, as they knew a member of the Trust from prior community engagements they had undertaken. During the visit, while there was some discussion about youth programmes, they did not discuss matters relating to a charter school. This is also my response to Written Parliamentary Question 58676 (2025).
