58641 (2025). Francisco Hernandez to the Minister of Commerce and Consumer Affairs: How much, if any, has the Minister’s departments, agencies, crown entities and any other bodies that the Minister is responsible for, if any, budgeted on christmas, holiday, end of year, and any other types of celebratory functions or parties during November and December in 2025?
Hon Scott Simpson: I am advised that the budgeted spends are as follows:
Accreditation Council: $3515.53
Commerce Commission: In general, the Commission allocates $20 per full-time equivalent (FTE) for Christmas functions. To date, the Commission has spent $5,473 on Christmas, holiday, end of year, and any other types of celebratory functions or parties during November and December 2025. This equates to an indicative spend of $13 per FTE. It expects remaining costs to be minimal.
External Reporting Board: $1,534 (combined end-of-year team planning day and Christmas/end-of-year event)
Financial Markets Authority: $3,421
Retirement Commission: $773.43
Takeovers Panel: $360.81
