58549 (2025). Francisco Hernandez to the Minister for Economic Growth: How much, if any, has the Minister’s departments, agencies, crown entities and any other bodies that the Minister is responsible for, if any, budgeted on christmas, holiday, end of year, and any other types of celebratory functions or parties during November and December in 2025?

Hon Nicola Willis: I am advised that the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment has budgeted up to seven dollars per head, towards a modest morning tea for staff in 2025. This would amount to $45,906 (incl GST) in total. However, I have been advised that the actual spend is likely to come under budget as not every team will make use of this subsidy. I am advised that New Zealand Growth Capital Partners budgeted $3,500 towards end of year functions in 2025, and had a total spend of $3,108.57 (GST exclusive).
