Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Health: What progress, if any, has been made in the as at 16 September 2024, toward the recommendation ‘Monitor and support the BSA ICT replacement to ensure fit-for-purpose screening system is delivered’ in Te Whatu Ora’s ‘BreastScreen Aotearoa Quality Improvement Action Plan’?

Hon Dr Shane Reti: I am advised that as at 16 September, Health New Zealand was monitoring the progress of the BSA ICT replacement project. The ongoing focus is to ensure the clinical safety of Breast Screening participants following implementation. The Pae Whakatere has oversight of the project and continues to assess whether the system is fit for purpose. I also refer the Member to Written Parliamentary Question 38208 (2024).
