58341 (2024). Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Health: What progress, if any, has been made in the as at 16 September 2024, toward the recommendation ‘Wānanga for a Māori lead community of practice to develop skills and experience to engage with BSA governance at all levels’ in Te Whatu Ora’s ‘BreastScreen Aotearoa Quality Improvement Action Plan’?
Hon Dr Shane Reti: I am advised that on 20 May 2024, Health New Zealand hosted a regional hui-fono in Hamilton with organisations involved in the breast cancer screening pathway. The purpose was to build and strengthen relationships between organisations working across the Waikato, Lakes, and Bay of Plenty regions who have an interest in improving access to breast screening for wāhine Māori and Pacific women.
