58300 (2025). Francisco Hernandez to the Minister for Land Information: How much, if any, did the Minister’s departments, agencies, crown entities and any other bodies that the Minister is responsible for, if any, spend on christmas, holiday, end of year, and any other types of celebratory functions or parties during November and December in 2023?

Hon Chris Penk: In 2023, Land Information New Zealand (LINZ) simplified its approach to funding staff events. LINZ provided $15,000 to support staff wellbeing initiatives such as sports teams as well as social events, including the end of year functions held in Hamilton, Christchurch and Wellington. The LINZ contribution was used towards food and non-alcoholic beverages at the end-of-year functions. The spend for other types of celebratory functions in November and December in 2023 was $338.19 for long service awards and $148.87 for work milestone recognition events.
