Hon Brooke van Velden: I am advised by the Department of Internal Affairs (the Department) that the Department has not provided a specific budget for Christmas, holiday, end of year, and any other types of celebratory functions or parties during November and December in 2025. However, the Department will contribute to a morning or afternoon tea for teams to acknowledge and thank employees for their work and contribution during 2025 in delivering services to New Zealanders. Listed below is the spend on Christmas, holiday, end of year, and any other types of celebratory functions or parties for the other portfolios I am responsible for: - Lotto NZ - $20,651; - Classification - $432; and - Fire and Emergency New Zealand - Refer to question 58276 (2025).
