58249 (2024). Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Health: What progress, if any, has been made as at 16 September 2024, on the action ‘Develop opt-off strategy’ under ‘Goal 4: Looking to the workforce of the future‘ within the BreastScreen Aotearoa Workforce Development Strategy 2022 – 2032?

Hon Dr Shane Reti: I am advised that up to 16 September 2024, Health New Zealand continued work to co-design the opt-off strategy with its breast screening lead providers and screening support service providers. I am further advised that implementation of the opt-off strategy is reliant on delivery of Health NZ's replacement Information and Communication Technology system.
