Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Health: What progress, if any, has been made as at 16 September 2024, on the action ‘Develop process evaluation framework’ under ‘Goal 5: Building governance and enablers to drive change‘ within the BreastScreen Aotearoa Workforce Development Strategy 2022 – 2032?

Hon Dr Shane Reti: I am advised that as of 16 September 2024, Health New Zealand had established a Workforce Development Working Group comprising of medical imaging technologists and radiologists. The group has convened and identified priority actions. I am further advised that Health NZ has continued building internal relationships with stakeholders including its health workforce team, international recruitment team, the transforming radiology programme, and the national radiology network. I am also advised that as Health NZ has identified priority actions, other actions or goals in the Workforce Development Action Plan have not been progressed. Only actions identified as priority have been progressed over the period in question.
