Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Health: What progress, if any, has been made to address the recommendation 'Statistical reporting tools: Use the visualisation and statistical reporting tools developed in the project to monitor equity in health service performance' as contained in the Research into health and wellbeing impacts of adverse weather conditions report for the Ministry of Health dated July 2024, as at 16 September 2024?

Hon Dr Shane Reti: I am advised that work on recommendations contained in the Research into Health and Wellbeing Impacts of Adverse Weather Conditions report is being progressed by the Ministry of Health (the Ministry) and Health New Zealand. Health officials are collaborating with key stakeholders, including the National Emergency Management Agency, Civil Defence Emergency Management, key community leaders, health providers and at-risk groups. Work is also progressing with the lead researcher for the quantitative analysis occurring to support engagement with the recommendations.
