58161 (2024). Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Health: What is the projected workforce requirement to meet the new cancer treatment targets by 1 October 2024, and how will Health New Zealand ensure these positions are filled?

Hon Dr Shane Reti: I am advised that modelling shows the projected workforce requirement to meet the new cancer treatment targets by 1 October 2024 includes Senior Medical Officers, pharmacists, and infusion nursing. Specific planning on the cancer workforce, developed with the Cancer Control Agency, will help meet these projections.
