Camilla Belich to the Minister for Workplace Relations and Safety: Since disbanding the All of Government Response on the Gloriavale Christian Community, what aides-mémoire, briefings, memos, notes, reports, or any other advice, if any, has the Minister been given in relation to Gloriavale?

Hon Brooke van Velden: The Cabinet mandate for the all-of-government response established by the previous Government ended on 31 December 2023. Since that date, I have received the following advice relating to Gloriavale: • In the weekly report for the week ending 25 January 2024, the Labour Inspectorate advised me that it would be undertaking planned investigation activity at Gloriavale that week. This was in relation to ongoing work on the issue of the employment status of people living at Gloriavale. • In the Workplace Relations and Safety portfolio Topic Notes 2023/24 (Additional Information), a statement was provided noting the inability to comment on matters before the Courts or an active Labour Inspectorate investigation. • Background information to support appearances before the Education and Workforce Committee, answers to Parliamentary questions, and media queries. As for WorkSafe, I have not received any aide memoires, briefings, memos, reports or other advice in relation to Gloriavale.
