Hon Judith Collins: MOD: $2,300 Christmas events at HQ New Zealand Defence Force (NZDF) are largely self-funded and are organised by the HQ Fernleaf Social Club. The social club is a non-public fund with a committee of volunteers. A user-pays bar facility is available at Fernleaf Club events. The average expenditure for HQ NZDF Christmas events since 2020 is $7,240 (GST inclusive) per annum for the venue when applicable, catering, and related technology support when required. No public or non-public funds have been used for alcohol or entertainment.
