58103 (2024). Lan Pham to the Minister for Biosecurity: How many full-time equivalent veterinarians, if any, does the Ministry for Primary Industries employ?

Hon Andrew Hoggard: The Ministry for Primary Industries (MPI) employs veterinarians across a range of different roles in their business units. I am advised that as of 16 September 2024, MPI has identified 172.7 Full-Time Equivalent (FTE) Veterinarians working in Verification Services and Biosecurity New Zealand.
