58072 (2024). Mariameno Kapa-Kingi to the Minister of Housing: Since January 2020, how many Māori tenants have been relocated from state houses due to flood risks or flooding, and what regions have they been relocated from?

Hon Chris Bishop: Kāinga Ora - Homes and Communities advises me that from 1 January 2020 to 31 August 2024, there were 34 tenancies started under the Business Initiated Transfer application process with the reason noted as ‘Natural Disaster’ and the main tenant identifying as Māori.
