58028 (2024). Hon Dr Duncan Webb to the Minister of Justice: Has the Minister indicated any priorities or expectations to the Chief Science Advisor for the Justice Sector; if so what are they?

Hon Paul Goldsmith: I have indicated that I would like the Chief Science Advisor to the Justice Sector to be focused on the following priorities: - Target 4: Violent Crime - 20,000 fewer people who are victims of an assault, robbery, or sexual assault - Target 3: Child and youth offending – 15% reduction in total children with serious and persistent offending (by 2029) - Improving court timeliness
