58027 (2024). Hon Dr Duncan Webb to the Minister of Justice: Does the Minister consider that under the obligations contained in the Treaty of Waitangi there is a particular obligation on the Crown of protection of Māori from racism; if not why not?
Hon Paul Goldsmith: The Government is committed to honouring its obligations under the Treaty of Waitangi, and human rights legislation, and making New Zealand a more inclusive country where all New Zealanders, including Māori, feel and are safe from the harms of racism.
