58025 (2024). Hon Willow-Jean Prime to the Minister for Children: Furhter to 55596 (2024), what has Oranga Tamariki done to reduce the volume of overdue unallocated cases between June 2024 and August 2024?

Hon Karen Chhour: I am advised by Oranga Tamariki that they have done the following to reduce the volume of overdue unallocated cases between June 2024 and August 2024: • Reviewed the unallocated cases (primarily the intake and assessments phase) to understand the risk and respond accordingly. • Pulled resources together and deployed staff into the priority regions. • Held training and upskilled staff. • Engaged with their partners who could assist with triaging and the completion of assessments. • Introduced overtime opportunities to staff to focus on the unallocated cases.
