57998 (2024). Hon Dr Duncan Webb to the Minister of Commerce and Consumer Affairs: Is the Registrar of Companies considering prohibiting Harry Crawford from managing a company under s 385 of the Companies Act, or taking any other action?

Hon Andrew Bayly: Harry Crawford is under consideration for prohibition pursuant to s 385 of the Companies Act 1993, based on the number of companies that he was a director of at the time they entered liquidation. No information has been received to date to indicate any serious problems within the course of the liquidations. The companies in liquidation are as follows: • CHCH CONSTRUCTION LIMITED (8192956)(previously known as NEW ZEALAND WOOL LIMITED between 8 June 2021 and 2 June 2022 and HARRY CRAWFORD CONSTRUCTION LIMITED between 2 June 2022 and 15 February 2024) was placed into liquidation upon shareholder resolution on 18 March 2024. Brenton Hunt of INSOLVENCY MATTERS is the licensed insolvency practitioner conducting the liquidation of this company. • CHCH GROUP LIMITED (8170737)(previously known as CRAWFORD GROUP CONSTRUCTION AND DEVELOPMENTS LIMITED between 16 March 2021 and 1 April 2021 and CRAWFORD GROUP LIMITED between 1 April 2021 and 15 February 2024) was also placed into liquidation upon shareholder resolution on 18 March 2024. Brenton Hunt of INSOLVENCY MATTERS is also the licensed insolvency practitioner conducting the liquidation of this company. • CASHEL STREET TOWNHOUSES LIMITED (8185814) was placed into liquidation upon shareholder resolution on 18 March 2024. Again, Brenton Hunt of INSOLVENCY MATTERS is the licensed insolvency practitioner conducting the liquidation of this company. • F TRUST HOLDINGS LIMITED (6332067) (previously known as 85 CARNAVERON DRIVE LIMITED between 05 Jul 2017 and 22 Aug 2018, HARRY CRAWFORD CONTRACTING LIMITED between 22 Aug 2018 and 27 May 2019), CRAWFORD GROUP LIMITED between 27 May 2019 and 01 Apr 2021, CRAWFORD GROUP CONSTRUCTION AND DEVELOPMENTS LIMITED between 01 Apr 2021 and 10 Nov 2021, CRAWFORD CAPITAL LIMITED between 12 Jul 2022 and 22 Apr 2024, and CRAWFORD DEVELOPMENTS LIMITED between 10 Nov 2021 and 12 Jul 2022) was placed into liquidation on 6 September 2024 upon creditor application. Luke Norman and Elizabeth Keene of KPMG Christchurch were appointed liquidators. While Harry Crawford is currently under consideration for prohibition, the findings of the insolvency practitioners will inform whether any other action under the Companies Act is contemplated.
