57933 (2025). Francisco Hernandez to the Minister of Transport: What are the holiday shut down dates, if any, for the Minister’s departments, agencies, crown entities and any other bodies that the Minister is responsible for, if any, during the 2025-26 holiday period?

Hon Chris Bishop: I am advised that the Ministry of Transport closes 24 December 2025 and reopens 5 January 2026. I have been advised that the NZTA office closes from 5pm Tuesday 23 December 2025 and reopens Monday 5 January 2025. Some teams will continue working during this period. Traffic Operation Centres will continue to operate 24/7. The NZTA contact centre is closed from 25-28 December and 1-4 January. The contractor closedown period is Monday 22 December to Friday 9 January.
