57930 (2024). Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Health: Does he expect all international students who are graduates of New Zealand medical schools to be matched to jobs by Health New Zealand after they graduate, and if not, why not?

Hon Dr Shane Reti: Recruitment and employment decisions are operational matters for Health New Zealand, and it would not be appropriate for me to comment. I am advised, however, that Health NZ has work programmes in place to address workforce shortages and to support those wanting to enter the health workforce.
