57925 (2024). Dr Lawrence Xu-Nan to the Minister of Education: How many ākonga Māori, if any, are currently excluded from kura; listed by number of ākonga excluded as at September 10 2024?

Hon Erica Stanford: I am advised by the Ministry of Education (the Ministry) that the information sought by the Member is not collated by the Ministry in a way that is readily reportable in the timeframe available to respond to written parliamentary questions. However, general information regarding expulsions can be found on the Education Counts website at: https://www.educationcounts.govt.nz/statistics/stand-downs,-suspensions,-exclusions-and-expulsions. More detailed operational data can be requested directly from the Ministry under the Official Information Act 1982. This is also my response to written parliamentary questions 57926, 57927, 57928 (2024).
