57919 (2024). Francisco Hernandez to the Minister of Finance: Which departments, ministry or agencies, if any, were not required to meet the 6.5% or 7.5% baseline saving exercise target, and for what reasons, if any, were they exempted from meeting the 6.5% or 7.5% baseline saving exercise target?

Hon Nicola Willis: The Government met its overall baseline savings target of $1.5 billion at Budget 2024. As I said at the Budget, some agencies delivered fewer savings than others for good reasons, while others went above and beyond their target. The agency breakdown is set out in the Summary of Initiatives document, and further information related to the decision making process has been proactively released on budget.govt.nz.
