57908 (2024). Francisco Hernandez to the Minister of Education: How many teachers were employed by the public education system on 30 June 2024, and how many were employed on 1 September 2024?

Hon Erica Stanford: I am advised that the information sought by the Member is not collated by the Ministry of Education in the format the Member has requested. Teacher numbers are reported on an annual basis and can be found at https://www.educationcounts.govt.nz/statistics/teacher-numbers. Teacher numbers for 2024 will be published in mid-2025. This is also my response to written parliamentary question 57909 (2024).
