57815 (2024). Francisco Hernandez to the Minister for Children: How many contractors, if any, did the Minister's departments have on 9 September 2024; and how many of them, if any, were former employees of the department that lost their roles or resigned from their roles since 27 November 2023?

Hon Karen Chhour: I am advised that Oranga Tamariki reviews its information on the number of contractors and consultants it engages on a quarterly basis as part of the Ministry’s submission to the Public Service Commission. Information pertaining to the number of contractors engaged with Oranga Tamariki on 9 September 2024 will be available following the next quarterly review period (July to September) due in November 2024. I am advised by Oranga Tamariki that at the closing of the last quarterly review period (ending 30 June 2024) there were 40 contractors. I am further advised by Oranga Tamariki that no former employees who lost their roles or who resigned from their roles since 27 November 2023 are currently contractors with Oranga Tamariki.
