57809 (2024). Francisco Hernandez to the Minister of Agriculture: How many contractors, if any, did the Minister's departments have on 9 September 2024; and how many of them, if any, were former employees of the department that lost their roles or resigned from their roles since 27 November 2023?

Hon Todd McClay: I am advised that the Ministry for Primary Industries (MPI) provides detailed information on contractor and consultant figures as part of MPI’s Estimates and Annual Review processes. MPI’s 2024/25 Estimates’ responses are publicly available on the New Zealand Parliament website at the link below: https://www.parliament.nz/resource/en-NZ/54SCPRIP_EVI_e6ed1f76-7583-4088-6d40-08dc80ee0281_PRIP2462/3494257fc1d9185ae4528a7a5916f52b77ee2f18 (Appendix Five). I am advised that no former MPI employees who have left since 27 November 2023 have been reemployed as contractors.
