57801 (2024). Francisco Hernandez to the Minister for Tertiary Education and Skills: How many contractors, if any, did the Minister's departments have on 9 September 2024; and how many of them, if any, were former employees of the department that lost their roles or resigned from their roles since 27 November 2023?

Hon Penny Simmonds: For New Zealand Qualifications Authority (NZQA), I refer the member to Minister of Education's repose to written parliamentary question 57831 (2024). The Tertiary Education Commission (TEC) had 26 contractors on 9 September 2024. None of these contractors were former employees. I am advised by Education New Zealand that it employed four contractors as at 9 September 2024. None are former employees. In relation to the Ministry of Education, I refer the Member to the Minister of Education’s response to written parliamentary question 57831 (2024).
