57756 (2025). Francisco Hernandez to the Minister of Police: What are the holiday shut down dates, if any, for the Minister’s departments, agencies, crown entities and any other bodies that the Minister is responsible for, if any, during the 2025-26 holiday period?

Hon Mark Mitchell: I am advised that Police National Headquarters and Service Centres will close from 22 December 2025 and will reopen on 12 January 2026. The Royal New Zealand Police College will also close on 22 December and reopen on 5 January 2026. Frontline operational policing functions 24/7 and will continue to operate throughout the holiday period. The Serious Fraud Office closedown period is from 25 December 2025 to 4 January 2026 inclusive.
